Indigenous Ministry
Orientation & Field Training
The AAOM Indigenous Ministry Training is a prerequisite in becoming an AAOM Missionary along wih the completion of the World Harvest Institute course and attendance of an Effective Aborignal Ministry Seminar.
AAOM Indigenous Ministry Training is based in AAOM training churches across Australia, under the oversight of the National Coordinators and the local indigenous pastors.
The course is 12 months of cultural orientation and field training in the local church and is made up of practical and leadership ministry to equip those who have a desire for reaching and discipling Aboriginal people.
In the last 12 years, 35 people have completed the AAOM 12 month training in Halls Creek and are now in fulltime ministry, and 10 new Aboriginal churches have been planted in cities, towns and remote communities.
"We have witnessed countless times the irreplaceable value of the AAOM Indigenous Ministry Training; the evidence showing that 93% of those who complete the training (Indigenous and non-Indigenous) have had and still are experiencing success in effectively
ministering in their calling and discipleship of Aboriginal people".
